Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been Phi Mu’s national philanthropic partner since 1986. “To lend to those less fortunate a helping hand.” The first line of Phi Mu’s Creed has been a call to serve others since it was written more than 100 years ago. From our earliest days of supporting a health mobile that delivered health care to women and children in rural areas to supporting toy carts for children in hospitals to our current partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Phi Mu has long been committed to lending a helping hand to those in need.
We are proud to be the only sorority to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and have an alliance with the National Women’s History Museum. We were also the first sorority to establish a National Philanthropy Day more than 20 years ago. Lending a helping hand is at the heart of who we are as Phi Mus.

Phi Mu’s Philanthropy: Supporting Children's Miracle Network HospitalsPhi Mu Fraternity is proudly partnered with "Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH)", a national organization dedicated to providing life-saving treatment and support for children in need. Throughout the year, Phi Mu chapters across the nation host philanthropic events to raise funds, contributing to the over $20 million that Phi Mu has donated to CMNH. Each year, that total grows by another $1 million, thanks to the dedication and generosity of our sisters. At Phi Mu Phi Gamma, we are directly partnered with Johns Hopkins Children's Center, a CMNH hospital here in Baltimore, Maryland. Every dollar raised through our events is donated to CMNH to help fund vital medical treatments, research, and services for children and their families. Our chapter hosts a variety of fundraising events each semester: Fall Semester: Pie-a-Phi, Treater Totter, and collaborations with local organizations.* Spring Semester: In addition to our fall fundraisers, we host our biggest event of the year—Miracle Man.Miracle Man is a campus-wide pageant where men from various organizations compete for the title of Phi Mu Phi Gamma’s Miracle Man. Participants and sisters create donor pages, reaching out to friends, family, and organizations to raise money for CMNH. In 2025, Phi Gamma raised an incredible $17,810—a record-breaking amount that we strive to surpass in next year’s Miracle Man pageant. Through our philanthropy, we continue to uphold Phi Mu’s values of Love, Honor, and Truth, making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families.
